So glad I was well enough to finally visit this store before it closes. So many beautiful things to look at & all their candles smelled wonderful. They also sell the 2 chicks & a hammer merch. Thanks to everyone who is involved in reviving our city, that I am so proud to call home
This store is a very cute vibe. Two Chicks District Co is a great stop for tourists or fans of the HGTV show Good Bones. It’s a little small inside, but you can still find lots of differently priced items for any budget. I will definitely go again to pick up some unique decor items and cute seasonal decor. Made for a fun girls shopping trip!
What a cute shop! Definitely worth the stop if you’re a fan of the show. They have some 2 Chicks merch a long with local items.
Parking is in the back, so make sure you go down the alley.
Been here several times but never really needed anything. I can see why it didn't really work out here and I'm sure they'll find more success in suburbia. I appreciate the charm it has brought to the neighborhood. Hopefully something great takes it's place.
This place is super cool ! The ambiance is so chic. The only thing I wish we could have tried the cafe because there wasnt any food available the day we visited. My bf went here because they carry a local perfume I love (Ambre essence) the store is a bit pricey..I was a bit taken back to see a tiny little cotton heart ornament priced at $5. It is a pretty pricey store but a cool place to go to. We will return for the perfume again and to hopefully try the cafe. They do support other local businesses and they seem to support the local community also.
My young daughter Karen loves Karen from Good Bones and especially loves the episode featuring the construction of the District Company. It was a nice experience for her to see new life in a building with an ode to the past with the preserved Lincoln logo on the front step. Anyone from a once vibrant area, that experienced a decline in industry and hard times would appreciate the blend of new and old. If you are a fan of the show it is a nice place to visit. Although inventory is small, there are plenty of finds for memorable decor or a souvenir.
While I'll admit the decor in here wasn't exactly to my taste, my time spent in here with my sister was not wasted and I think if you're a fan of Good Bones and the aesthetic shown, you'll have a great time. There is a pretty wide array of things you can purchase in here, from scented candles, decor pieces to clothing and merchandise from the personalities on the show.
There are some cute, Instagram-able sets inside the shop and there is also a little bar-coffee shop in there as well. Prices seemed a little bit high, but I admit I might be biased because it wasn't to my taste.
I would recommend driving around the neighborhood while you're in town to visit the shop, there are some incredible houses.
Easy to find with GPS, free curbside parking, beautiful items in the store but pricey. We assumed maybe due to the fame of the show. Friendly staff and we liked the bistro area. My mom & I both wished they had more items for purchase with their logo. It was fun to visit and see in person after being loyal fans of the show. It's exactly as it seems on the show.
